Even tyrannical leaders intent on taking over the world, must have a break now and then. Only problem is there isn’t much to do in this solar system ( no atmosphere you see ). To make matters worse there’s nothing on the box only repeats. Hang on a moment what’s this 6 men dressed in bizarre costumes singing about a youth hostel... Bob has an idea.......
We open on a shot of the Bling-Mobile sitting in space just above Bob’s beloved earth. Out of the top pokes a receiver dish scanning the air-waves.
We cut a shot of bob in his chair, remote in hand clicking through the channels on his TV. We then zoom in to see SK, happy as always, busy making a house out of a pack of cards. We cut back to a close up of Bob continuing to click through the channels. On the screen a
selection of 80’s television passes by our eyes with each click of the remote. We cut back to Bob now yawning obviously less than impressed. We visit the TV screen again only to fine more of the same. By this time Bob is now slumped in his chair looking like he has almost lost the will to live. We visit the screen one more time just as the next click reveals footage of the Village People in full fancy dress singing YMCA. Bob’s eye grows big as an idea starts to form.
We cut an exterior shot of the Bling-Mobile, the dish folds away before our eyes and as we pull back we see it hurtle towards earth.
We open on a busy New York style street scene. In the middle of the scene we find an open manhole cover with a sign next to it displaying men at work. Suddenly a strange green beam surrounds the opening, but we cut to another scene before we can see any more.
A wigwam sits alone in the middle of the great west. Suddenly it too is surrounded by a strange green beam. Like our first encounter we cut away before we can discover more.
We cut to an old woman sitting behind the wheel of a station wagon. She is wearing glasses which resemble the bottom of milk bottles as she sits just behind and only just above the steering wheel. As she travels along at an extremely slow and erratic pace a bright blue light flashes on and off, lighting up the back of her car. The light is accompanied by a police siren, and the old lady dutifully pulls over to the side.
We cut to a behind shot of a motorcycle policeman dismounting his motorbike and walking towards the woman, who has begun to exit her car.
We cut to a close up of the cop as he tuts at what he sees. Suddenly he too is surrounded by the green beam and he looks up in amazement. As the cop looks up his sun glasses start to move up off his face.
We hear a scream and cut back to the space ship.
Back at the Bling-Mobile to see Bob’s hand tentacle placing the needle upon an old 1950’s style record player. Out from the player blasts ‘Y-M-C-A’.
We cut to a shot of a strange feathered hat with a leather one next to it. We cut to and fro from image to image revealing more of these strange parts of a wider picture. Finally we cut to a large moustache which is quite obviously upon Bob’s top lip, then zoom out to reveal both Bob and SK dancing to YMCA with 4 manikins strapped to them via a long pole. They dance and pull some moves, obviously the boredom has now gone.
Fade to Black...
Fade up to see the old lady driving her car next to her is the cop completely naked, looking very sheepish.
